‘Work Hard, Play Hard’, a book instigated by Joanne Stevenson, has been published to record, acknowledge and celebrate the significance of a milestone. For Stevenson family members, it is also a way to reflect, remember and take pride in Bill’s considerable achievements and the tenacity, dedication, determination and loyalty that foreshadowed his own success.

‘Work Hard, Play Hard’ is comprised of hundreds of photographs, along with interviews, articles and other miscellany that are the result of a long, purposeful life. It’s a snapshot of Bill’s life, family, business and interests and, notably, his many successes out on the water.

Designer Tim Sumner and myself were given an opportunity to create a book for New Zealander Bill Stevenson. I had the pleasure of spending time with Bill and his wife, photographing their portraits and shooting numerous prized objects for the book.

We have since gone on to do work with Bills foundation for children with fetal alcohol syndrome.
